The Soldiers of Allah
D. L. Miller is originally from Johnstown, Pennsylvania. He served in the United States Air Force, and is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. Mr. Miller traveled and worked in much of the world as a teacher and engineer. He was employed by Westinghouse Defense and Space Center (now Northrop/Grumman) for more than 30 years, where he says he worked on “underseas programs, space programs, and everything in-between.” Much of his career was spent in the Middle East among the very culture (and religion) of which he writes.

D.L. Miller has brilliantly taken the Islamic religion apart, unveiling the origins of Islam and the many ways in which its adherents interpret the Qu’ran, today. With great detail, he explores concepts such as Jihad, Intifada, Shariah, and Fatwah—terms with which many of us are not familiar.
Soldiers of Allah is a valuable resource for missionaries, and anyone called to serve in the Islamic world. It also offers much-needed insight into a religious culture with which we are interacting more often today.
Soldiers of Allah explains~
  • How the revelations of Muhammed became the basis for the Islamic religion
  • Why the Qu’ran is interpreted differently among Islamic denominations
  • Why American jurisprudence cannot coexist with Shariah law
  • Why Allah is not another name for Jehovah
Some may question the author’s conclusions, but Miller has been thorough and exacting in his research. He has an extremely broad personal and professional knowledge of his subject.
